Exposure by Brandilyn Collins

Fears – everyone has them. Some may be rational, some not. But we all have them. In her latest book, Exposure, by mistress of suspense, Brandilyn Collins, fear is brought to life. This book scared the crud out of me! As usual, Collins is masterful at weaving suspense, drama, tension and twists and turns together in a way that absolutely grips the reader. The pace is fast and it is incredibly difficult to put down.

One of the things that I love so much about Collins’ books is the way she crafts the power and faithfulness of God into her stories without being preachy or over-the-top. In Exposure, she shows us how the power of faith over fear, and good over evil does triumph in the end. Yes, in fiction and in life, there are boogeymen out there, but the will to survive and the power of Christ can certainly overcome.

Exposure is a stand-alone book, not a part of a series (though I could certainly see it becoming one). It is fantastic! Do I recommend it? Yes . . . With a disclaimer:

If you are easily scared or somewhat paranoid, maybe this book isn’t for you. For the rest, get it. Read it. With the doors locked. During the day. With the lights on. And be sure you’re not alone. Buckle up – it’s quite a ride!

Exposure
By Brandilyn Collins

When your worst fear comes true.

Someone is watching Kaycee Raye. But who will believe her? Everyone knows she’s a little crazy. Kaycee’s popular syndicated newspaper column pokes fun at her own paranoia and multiple fears. The police in her small town are well aware she makes money writing of her experiences. Worse yet, she has no proof of the threats. Pictures of a dead man mysteriously appear in her home—then vanish before police arrive. Multisensory images flood Kaycee’s mind. Where is all this coming from?

Maybe she is going over the edge.

Then real danger strikes someone close to Kaycee. And her own disturbing incidents escalate. Are the two series of events related? Is she responsible for it all?

High action and psychological suspense collide in this story of terror, twists, and desperate faith. The startling questions surrounding Kaycee pile high. Her descent to answers may prove more than she can survive.

The American Patriot's Bible NKJV

Once again, I am thrilled to be able to review a book for Thomas Nelson Publishers. Being an ardent patriot, I jumped at the chance to review The American Patriot’s Bible. Make no mistake this is a real NKJV study Bible. However, many texts, quotes, songs, illustrations and documents have been included, to show how the Word of God helped to form and shape the United States of America. Though we have been in the throes of revisionism in regards to our history, to remove any proof or belief that we began as a Christian nation, this Bible, and many other sources, clearly show that the foundation of our nation, and the founders themselves, were deeply steeped in Christianity and the Bible.

This Bible includes information about the Founding Fathers, usage of the Bible in Education, National Monuments with text pointing to the Bible and God, heroic and famous Americans who held tightly to the Bible, Christianity and Equal Rights, etc. This is a fantastic Bible for someone who loves God and Country. It is a great study tool for both God’s Word and American history and interests. I am delighted to have this Bible added to my collection and will refer back to it time after time.

The American Patriot's Bible
The Word of God and The Shaping of America
by NKJV Translation

THE ONE BIBLE THAT SHOWS HOW ‘A LIGHT FROM ABOVE’ SHAPED OUR NATION.

Never has a version of the Bible targeted the spiritual needs of those who love our country more than The American Patriot’s Bible. This extremely unique Bible shows how the history of the United States connects the people and events of the Bible to our lives in a modern world. The story of the United States is wonderfully woven into the teachings of the Bible and includes a beautiful full-color family record section, memorable images from our nation’s history and hundreds of enlightening articles which complement the New King James Version Bible text.
